Tarot Is Available To Everyone

Everyone can use Tarot...whatever your level of understanding might be. You may not think it is easy, but every person can derive some knowledge even from simple readings. I can show you ways to read the cards for yourself or someone else in a basic way that will really open your mind, spirit and eyes. How far you take your experience is up to you. I give readings but I'd rather see a person access the information on their own and be on "stand-by" as a mentor or assistant to help with any difficulties. I woul also arther see a person add to the regular meaning their own impressions and understanding of what they "see" or feel in a reading and what the cards symbolize to them persinally. Making the cardsyour own is extreme;y improtant.dfc
I started in Tarot when I was 17 or so with a book from a psychic book club. Before that I had been "playing around" with regular plaing cards and had realized the potential. The first Tarot deck I owned was supplied inside the cover of a book called The Key To The Tarot by Doris Chase Doane and King Keyes. I cut them out and MEMORIZED the meanings. I didn''t know much about the symbols, mysricism or anything New Age related at that time. It was The Brotherhood of light Egyptian Deck. In my youth at that time, I was happy to be studying somthing I thought other people didn't know anything about. Making others look at me out of the corner of their eye was fun. Later in the beginning hippie years, it seemed as if everyone knew at leeast a little about the cards.

I was a shy kid and they made me very popular at parties, sleep overs, Love-ins and comserts by the time I was 19. On a summer day in New Orleans on the Lakefront, I did readings for young guys afraid of the draft and waiting to go to Viet Nam. I studied everything I could find. But I wasn''t satisfied. I began to see that there were deeper meanings beyond the "meanings"...I began to see that there was interaction between the reader, querent, and the cards...not VERBAL and not voices EXACTLY, but the cards had far more to say than I had hoped for or imagined. For years, I read every day, keeping massive journals. Ocassionally I would becime disappointed by readings or frustrated when the characters did not impart their message as I had expected and I woud put the cards away....for months and finally once for YEARS. Before the horrible Pshycic Friends phone readings became popular, I was out of work and needed a job. I saw other readers on a public square in a southern city and went out and bought a table, chairs and new deck becayse I couldn''t find a job.. I spent two of the hardest years of my life reading for the tourists and others. I had tried reading at an entertainment and shopping mall in Atlanta for a short time, but management actually asked me to stop because they thought I should be a "character" doing fake readings for entertainment only ratger than ACTUAL readings! They simoly asekd me to change to a character format or stop altogether. I stopped.
When I was reading at Jackson Square daily in New Orleans I went through
cold winter brutal summer heat, rain, good times, bad times, competition from unethical people armed with cards and tables and chairs with nothing to say. It was glorious and dreadful all at the same time. There were fight with the city council over licensing issues, disgruntled readers all harrassing each other and often so many readers that the money was thin. I was going thru my own personal transformation spiritually at the time and emotions ran high. Ultimately, I left there. I only had a few "public" reading experiences befoore then. One was at a festival in Nashville, Tennessee. I thought I did well. There was another reader across from mr who tried to show me up, but I held my own. I learned there isn't much more people want to knw GENERALLY besides money, job, relationships, etc. I met a FEW serious seekers, but only a few. Molested women seem to find me to help summon the courage to confront their tormenters. It is far more rampant than we know or are willing to admit......MORE TO COME.
